5 Biggest Regrets from Newly Weds on their Wedding Day

We recently asked our newly weds if they had their day all over again, would there be anything they would change or do differently? Whilst so many said absolutely nothing, we have listed the 5 most popular answers with the hope this may help couples currently planning!

1. Spending more time on the dance floor

So it's your wedding day and you have all your nearest and dearest there to celebrate with you so it's only natural you want to get round to everyone and say your hellos but don't forget to enjoy yourself! Use that Photo Booth, eat that cake and dance the night away! Plus if you’re on the dance floor your guests will follow!

2. Book that Videographer

They say that pictures say a thousand words but a video shows so much more! Just think about all the parts of the day you won't even see like your future husband or wife getting ready with their crew and reactions from everyone as you walk down the aisle. And most importantly the speeches! I don't remember a single thing from my speeches at my own wedding, but having a video you can watch back over and over is so important. For me personally, having the video of family members no longer here with us is super special!

3. Have live music

There's no better way than getting your guests on the dance floor than with live music! Whether it's a band or a sax player this was a popular answer from our newly weds and if the budget can stretch then it's worth every penny. They say the two things your guests remember is the food and entertainment!

 4. Hair and Make up prep

Now this is one I can relate to! It's your wedding morning and there's so many of you in line to get glam. Now I made this mistake myself to be the last to have my hair and make up done - big mistake! Looking back, I wished I had a separate hair and MUA just for me so there wasn't no rushing and time to make changes etc. If this isn't doable then I would highly recommend making sure your first in line! And then have time for touch ups right before you walk down the aisle.

5. Remember who's day it is

Now this was the most popular answer by far! It's all too easy to listen to those around you giving their opinions and advice but remember who's day it is! Too many couples try to please everyone and it's just not possible. The wedding day should reflect you both as a couple and the things you love down to the music and the food, the colour scheme and venue, it's all about you! And yes, of course you may have some guests to think about and cater for but ultimately this is your day so first and foremost please make sure you put yourselves first.
