A Beautiful Boho Wedding
Married in the beautiful Essex Countryside in September 2022, Mark & Lynsey reminisce on their perfect day on 1st September 2022 at Channels Estate, Chelmsford, Essex.
When did you get engaged?
1st May 2021
Tell us about your proposal?
We were living in London during lockdown and Mark wanted to drive up to Brighton beach one morning for a day out. We took our dog Gatsby for an early morning walk on the beach and Mark proposed!
Tell us about your bridal party and how you came to choose them?
We both chose our oldest friends as our bridal party. They are the friends that no matter where we’ve lived or travelled they always feel like home.
What made you choose your venue and tell us about your theme?
We loved the barn style venues and Channels was perfect for us as we loved the outdoor ceremony area and that it had accommodation on site for friends and family travelling from Ireland, Australia, Italy and Norway. It was also important for us to have a venue we could bring our dog Gatsby! We wanted a boho theme to match the barn with rustic and neutral tones.
What was your favourite part of planning?
Going dress shopping with my MoH, Mum and Auntie was a really special day! As well, looking at all the lovely venues together and finding the right place to have our day.
What was the hardest part of planning?
Table planning and picking the food was the hardest part, trying to make decisions to ensure everyone could enjoy the day as much as we did.
Brides Favourite moment of the day?
There are so many! Walking down the aisle was an exciting and emotional experience but also the quiet moment we had as a couple waiting to go into the wedding breakfast. As well as dancing the night away with friends and family!
Grooms favourite moment of the day?
When we just sat back and chatted and no one else around and could enjoy the excitement of the day together.
Any tips for future couples?
Everyone says the day goes so fast but it really does! Try to take in as much as you can and not worry about anything else on the day except enjoying all the love and magic of the day.
Anything either of you would do differently?
Nothing, it was the perfect day for us!
Honeymoon plans if any?
We went to the Maldives and Dubai after the wedding it was brilliant and the perfect way to relax after all the planning and excitement.
