5 Ways to Stay Organised

Finding wedding planning overwhelming? Here are my top 5 ways to stay organised when planning your big day!

  1. Use a Spreadsheet

This is absolutely vital, and a super easy way to list your suppliers and keep contact names and numbers for them, keep track of spending and what deposits have been paid and when. Generally, it helps you have a clear overview of everything that has been paid and what’s due and when!

2. Have a separate email address

Creating a wedding email address is simple and is a great way to keep organised and have your Wed-min all in one place!

3. Create a planning timeline

It’s so easy once you have set your date to go full steam ahead and feel like you need to get everything ticked right away! Prioritise things to do and add them to a timeline. For example, if you have suppliers that you have your heart set on, get them booked in first! Having your colour and theme decided early on will help many things fall into place like your invitations, bouquets & Men’s attire.

4. Set reminders

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, so it’s going to be very easy to forget deadlines. Don’t rely on your suppliers chasing you, set reminders both a month and the week before any due dates to take that pressure off yourself.

5. Delegate tasks

Now if you are anything like myself, this doesn’t come naturally! But take the pressure off by delegating some weddings tasks to your Bride/Groom-to-be or your wedding party!
